If you fail a class, and retake it, does your F disappear, or does your just your GPA rise?

Answers:
no your F is yours, on your transcript it will show tha the class is a retake and it will raise your GPA if you pass it the next time, but that first grade F will stay on
Higher grade replaces the lower one.
if you fail a class and take it the next year or summer school the F erases and your gpa rises, it was like that F was never there. well atleast that's the way it is in california
your gpa rises once the credit is given
The original grade disappears, and the new one ups your GPA! Good luck!
Higher grade replaces the F when calculating your GPA, but the F will still show up on your transcript.
Depends on your college... Some colleges allow the F to disappear... Some colleges take the average of the two grades and the F stays the same... Its insane, you have to get with your academic advisor at your school...
yes the F disappers. what shows is an R for repeat. and as long as you do better than an F your gpa should go up a little bit, but remember gpa is also based on how many credits class is and what grade you get, so a class with small credit class may not effect your gpa so much as a class with more credits and better grade score. good luck.
The F is still on your transcript and it will have to be turn in when you apply for college so the best thing is to avoid failing the next time and if you want ten points you can answer my question it says early dissmissal...SMILE
