Any advice please?

Question:This Jerk was bothering me the other day and he kept pushing me then he had a bit of sharp metal in his hand from our previous Engineering lesson and lunged at me so i didnt hesitate and my karate came in to action and i knife handed his throat and gave him with all my might a groin kick which kinda lifted him up. he was shocked and was feeling sick. His parents came in because he claims he has problems now from this incident the other week. was i right and what should i do because theres no witnesses?

Answers:
Stand your ground, man. I would've done the same minus the karate chop. I prefer repeated fists to the face.
Dotn say you did anything the jerk desirves a good kick. And it wasn't your fault he was trying to hurt you first its not your fault the whimp couldn't take it's a good lesson for him.
Well, you shouldn't have let it get that far, but if the guy was gonna do something much worse to you, you have all the right in the world to defend yourself. BUT, having said that, only do what you need to do and don't make a meal of it, that will get you into trouble!
don't worry be happy.well done,good luck
the guy was a jerk and how were you to know how far he might go. so it sounds like to me you were defending yourself, but with adrenalin rush and using your karate moves it could be seen as taking it too far. i guess my suggestion would be to seek legal counsel just in case, but dont tell anyone you are seeking it, cuz that could be seen that you are guilty of something. some lawyers will give a free one hour legal advice and also check into legal aid or something. and write everything down that you remember of what happened that day and date it the day you wrote it and sign it . you can never be too careful nowadays. just protect yourself. and if something like this happens again notify security on campus as soon as it happens. hope that helps you. good luck
