My daughter loved hers. She was there from the middle of 10th grade until graduation.
Of course, hers was a large school and there were only 40 boarders and the rest were day students.
She was always at the barn mucking out stalls and with the horses. The weekends can get boring. My kid is just a nice girl and was very popular with most students. She was in homecoming court. They had proms and she got fixed up with dates for them.
They have a scheduled homework time at night. You go on group shopping trips, stuff like that on the weekends.
A boarding school is a school at which lodging and meals are provided for the pupils. I never been to one, but it would be a fun experience. It would help me grow up to be a better-adjusted adult.
