Im from the UK and so could you explain the following US terms to me please?

Question:When at high school, how old are you when you're a freshman, sophomore and senior?

And the same for college student freshman, sophomores and seniors?

I have heard the terms but have no idea how old a stuent is through each

Thanks

Answers:
In US schools, there is Kindergarten (I know that's a German name, that's just the way it is) for age 5. There there's grades 1 through 8, called elementary school and middle school (grades 6 through 8). So, graduating 8th grade, you would be 13 years old. Then there are 4 years of high school - 14 years old for freshmen, 15 for sophomores, 16 for juniors, and 17 for seniors. College freshmen are usually 18, and graduate with a 4 year degree (bachelor's degree) at age 21.

I have no idea what an O-level is, but I hear our system is similar to the French system, with a Baccalaureate degree the same as a Bachelor's in the US.
14-15 15-16 17-18 for college add 4 years
In high school, f-15, s-16, j-17, s-18
There is overlapping, of course.
College-f-18-s-19-j-20-s-21

Hope that helps.
depends on whe they are born i was 14 as a freshman 15 as a sophmore 16 as a junior and 17 as a senior however i was also the youngest in my class mose ppl are 15 as freshman 16 as sophmores 17 as juniors and 18 as seniors. college varies to but lest assume were gunna keep on from 18 then it would be 19 as freshman 20 as sophmore and so on
When you enter high school, you are usually around 14 or 15, Your frist year is called your freshman year.

The second year is called sophomore, you're about 15 or 16.

Third year is junior, and you are around 16 and 17

The last year is called the senior year, ages 17,18.

College is about the same. 1st yr- freshman, 2nd year- sophomore, 3rd year- junior, 4th year, senior.

freshman year you are about 18. sophomores are usually 19. juniors are 20, and seniors 21,22.
only difference than stated before is depending on if you start school at 4 instead of 5 . then it makes a freshmen or 9th grader at 13- 14 a sophomore at 14- 15 a junior or 11th grade at 15- 16 and a senior or 12th grade at 16 - 17. this is starting 4 which is getting pretty common. but 5 years old would apply to the answer before.
i know that i was 13 when i ate a hamburger
