8th grade grad...?

Question:my best friend and I are writing the graduation speech for the 8th graders at my school. it isnt just about thanking people, but telling stories about life and such. any ideas? we dont want it to sound like a typical chronological events type thing.

- talk about mistakes you made and what you learned ( tripping on the stairs, learn to laugh at yourself; fashion mistakes, relationships with ppl, fights)
be specific - funny stories keep people listening
- mention all the friends you made
- mention how all the students have become a community
- mention how much everyone has changed in three years
again, be specific
8th grade graduation? wtf? What is the point of having any "graduations" before high school? You still have to go to school after kindergarten, 5th, and 8th grades. What is the point of having any graduations until you finish High school or earn a college degree?
