Pupils should have their own choice of study?

Question:What do you think about it and please write down a few pointers. Thanks

Answers:
After learning a core curriculum, there is no problem with students being abe to explore areas that interest them.
Yes... Defintely.
Absolutely yes.

But the system does not tolerate it because they will lose their "factory fodder" to keep it self running.

"hey teachers leave the kids alone" Pink Floid said in the 70's.

Francisco Ferrer Guardia was assasinated by the Spanish Goverment nearly 100 years ago in Barcelona for proclaiming a free education school "La Escuela Moderna".
Forcing children to study subjects they are not interested in is against their rights as human being and is against common sense. Most children have an innate desire to learn, therefore, there is no need to force or punish them to do so.

If pupils are sufficiently motivated they will learn the basics in no time. However, if we force them to learn basics first they may never get to learn the thngs that interest them.

Better still teaching children in a non-schooling environment is the best alternative - away from peer-group and societal pressure. This means that they can learn as much as they want and play as much as they want.
