I recently gave my SAT - 1, and got a score of 2100. How good would my chances be in the top universities?

Question:I got 800 in math, 680 in writing, and 620 in reading. Will reading really dampen my chances? I aim to get around 750 in my science SAT-II, so would that be enough to make up for the SAT - I score, or should I give it again?

Answers:
That's good, congratulations. I'd say, you're set for acceptance into any major university, but you might want to check Wherever You Want to Go University's website. At this point, most colleges are only using the writing portion for research purposes, so call it 1420, cause that's what they'll take into consideration. They also consider class rank and GPA, though, so keep those up, too. I got a 1280 (I only took it once and never studied, but no excuses) and got full rides to several schools, and wasn't turned down from any university, so you should be just fine. Just remember to stay involved in sports and other extracurricular activities. Good Luck!
Try it again. A 2100 is pretty mediocre. An 800 in math is obviously good, and for middle of the road 'tech' schools, like Georgia Tech, you should be fine. If you have actual aspirations, however, there's little chance you're getting in anywhere decent with the 620 and the 680. You would need to at least break 700 in both categories, and I would say at least a 720 in both to be comfortable for the standardized test portion of the admissions qualifications
