Question:I have a foreign accounting degree but I find it useless in the US. What shall I do retake accounting courses here or go for an MBA?
If your goal is to sit for the CPA exam, you should figure out specifically what other classes you need for the state you want to be certified in. I'm not sure how it works when you come from another country, but if you only need a few more classes, you should just take those...you may even be able to take them online. If none or few of your classes count for the CPA, then you should look into getting a Master's of Accountancy. You should only do the MBA if what you really want is to work in business (not to be a CPA), because otherwise I don't think you can get the accounting credits you need that way.
