What is osteonoma?

Answers:
osteoma (pronounced - os te-o'mah hence your incorrect spelling) is a tumour composed of bony tissue; a hard tumour of bonelike structure developing on the bone (homoplastic osteoma) and sometimes on other structures (heteroplastic osteoma).
Sounds like a bone tumour to me.
did you mean osteotomy?

An osteotomy is a surgical operation whereby a bone is cut to shorten, lengthen, or change its alignment. It is sometimes performed on a hallux valgus, or to straighten a bone that has healed crookedly following a fracture. It is also used to correct a coxa vara, genu valgum, and genu varus. The operation is done under a general anaesthetic. Osteotomy is one method to relieve pain in arthritis, especially of the hip and knee. It is being replaced by joint replacement in the older patient.

Due to the serious nature of this procedure, recovery times may be extensive. Careful consultation with a physician is important in order to ensure proper planning during a recovery phase. Tools exist to assist recovering patients who may have non weight-bearing requirements and include bedpans, dressing sticks, long-handled shoe-horns, grabbers/reachers and specialized walkers and wheelchairs.
Something that only a dentist can sort out. I found a website but it was in Spanish and as I don't speak Spanish it was very hard deciphering it!

But I did find a reference for osteonomy .....osteonomy procedures for the removal of a selection of bone from either the upper tibia or the distal femur.
Osteotomy

Introduction

In an osteotomy of the hip, the doctor cuts away bone to change the way the bones fit together in the joint. He may cut away damaged bone and tissue from the ball part of the joint (the femoral head) or the socket part of the joint (the acetabulum). By changing the bones’ position, the doctor hopes to shift the brunt of your weight from damaged joint surfaces to healthier cartilage.

Most words with a Greek origin are often something to do with the medical profession - prognosis etc.
As a junior doctor I can answer this fairly easily.

Basically ladies have a Oeteon just behind the clitorus and this occasional swells up and can get rather excited. The best answer is to either apply tomato ketchup or have it removed by excessive tongue action.
