Good books for younger adults?

Im in need of a few books preferably for a guy something that would be of good use and that i could read on a 2 daytime car ride im in to just something like any thing non fiction or about military or wilderness Thanks

Orson Scott Card..Ender's game...little bit military but a great book next to much interesting philosophical idea's as well
