I think it means surrounded by the 'battle' between sexes, men habitually treat sex and sexuality with no emotional regard for its consequences, whereas women tend to use sex as a weapon, slightly intentionally to get who/what/where they want.
Im generalizing here, this doesnt apply to all males/females.
