Question:What exactly should one know after leaving 6th grade as far as grammar goes?
Answers:
Ooh, tough question, but I think it would mainly be the basics. One should know the parts of speech well, how a noun is different from a pronoun and an adjective from an adverb. I learned sentence diagramming in 6th grade, so that would be good, too. One should also know the basic parts of each part of speech like common and proper nouns, helping, being, and action verbs, and so on. I think that pretty much covers it.
